Calculation assumptions
  • The fence is one continuous straight run; each gate adds one post beyond the continuous run count.
  • Post spacing is treated as a maximum, so every partial bay creates a full additional bay.
  • Pickets cover only total fence length minus entered gate width.
  • Post depth, footing volume, bracing, wind load, terrain changes, corners, and gate hardware require project-specific verification.

The regular straight-run model excludes corners, elevation changes, braces, gate hardware, wind loading, post depth, footing volume, utilities, easements, and local height or setback rules.
